The client was charged with the very serious charge of trafficking in heroin which the Crown was seeking a sentence of between 8 to 10 years in the penitentiary. We canvassed the opportunity of having a preliminary hearing however given the nature of the evidence we waived off preliminary hearing and went straight to trial in the Superior Court. On the Eve of the trial after some discussions with the prosecutor and after I outline the lack of evidence as it related to my client all the charges against him were withdrawn.
